This 4th edition Twilight Imperium frame is made out of 1/8" MDF. It is 31 1/2" x 28 1/2" x 1/4" thick. It splits into four pieces for easy storage. The pieces are 16" x 14 1/2" when split apart for storage.
The frame holes 37 tiles which allows for the standard 3-6 player map configurations. The frame comes one of two ways.
The first is, sanded and assembled but left unfinished. You can paint it, stain it, or seal it however you want.
The second is, sanded and assembled and primed with black paint. We suggest you seal it with the preferred sealer of your choice to add to the boards durability.
The 3rd edition tiles will fit in the frame with about a 1/16" gap all the way around the hex tiles.
